GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific (GHAPAC), a leading healthcare platform in the region, officially announced the launch of the Sri Lanka GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific Conference, Summit & Awards 2026 at a press conference today at the ITC Ratnadipa, Colombo.
The landmark two-day event, scheduled for the 19th and 20th of May 2026, marks GHAPAC’s first dedicated healthcare awards and knowledge platform in Sri Lanka. It signifies a major step in positioning the island nation more prominently on the global healthcare and medical tourism map.
The conference, summit, and awards are designed to recognize outstanding hospitals, medical centres, clinics, and wellness centres across more than 30 specialist categories, including oncology, cardiology, dentistry, and aesthetics. Beyond the awards gala, the program will feature a summit focused on crucial themes such as healthcare standards, innovation, patient safety, and building future-ready healthcare systems, featuring highly acclaimed regional speakers.
In his address, Mr. Panjwani, the Director and Publisher of GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific, underscored the strategic intent behind the initiative. “This platform is designed as a pan-Asian convening—one that brings together healthcare leaders from the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region to recognise excellence, exchange knowledge and build long-term collaboration,” he stated.
He further emphasised Sri Lanka’s growing potential. “Sri Lanka is at a pivotal moment in its healthcare journey. Through this conference and awards, we are sending a clear message to the region: Sri Lanka is ready to engage, collaborate and compete at a global level. This platform will help unlock cross-border partnerships, patient flows, and shared innovation across Asia.”
